Non-surgical nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) is an increasingly popular alternative to traditional surgery. Essentially, absorbable dermal fillers are used to reshape the nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) is far more affordable than surgery, there is no need for general anaesthetic, and you can get straight back on with your day as soon as you leave the clinic, as it is done as an ‘office’ procedure.
Whilst it is not suitable in all cases, it is a good solution for many people seeking an improvement in the shape or size of their nose. It can help:
- Where a nose is slightly crooked (deviated)
- Is small and needs to be increased in size so that the facial features appear more harmonious
- Where the nose is slightly hooked in shape
- Where a nose needs to be refined following surgical rhinoplast
Pre-procedure Preparation
Before the fillers are administered, the Consultant Plastic Surgeon will go through the procedure with you, explaining what will happen and the results you can expect to achieve. You will be asked to complete a consent form, and before and after photographs will be taken with your permission.
Procedure Time
The administering of the filler takes around 15 – 30 minutes.
Post Procedure
The area may be a little red and swollen for a few days, but can be covered with make up if you wish.
These are preparations that are often used to correct wrinkles, scarring and other depressions in the skin. It is advisable to use absorbable dermal fillers only, as permanent dermal fillers can cause granulomas and other complications.
The results generally last from six to twelve months, but vary according to the individual.
Your filler will be administered by a Consultant Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon.
You will be treated at our purpose-built clinic in the centre of Watford, Hertfordshire.
